I thoroughly enjoyed my “South America Adventure” trip with Girls On Tour in 2011. We started our adventure in Santiago before venturing north into Peru and then the Amazon, where I went Piranha fishing…yes that’s right P I R A N H A! And yes I caught a small one. Then we headed into the Andes to Cusco and onto the sacred Valley of the Incas. From here I enjoyed the barter of the local Indians at Pisac market and climbed the steps of the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the Americas…Ollantaytambo. The climb, at times quite tough, resulted in an overwhelming view of the valley.

From here we travelled to Machu Picchu where we spent two days marvelling at the wondrous ruins. I was concerned at the beginning of my adventure whether I would succumb to the dreaded altitude sickness. But I suffered only a slight headache in Cusco. Next stop was Lake Titicaca where we were dressed by the Uros Indians on the ‘island’, in grass skirts and bowler hats for a photo shoot. That was a fun day. Then southwards to La Paz offered shopping at the “Witch Doctors’ Market” which offered good-luck ornaments and dried Llama foetuses. I considered the ornament the better buy!

Rio here we come! Three days in fantastic Rio de Janeiro went quickly. A visit to Christ the Redeemer brought rain; and then the sun shone over Sugar Loaf Mountain as we ascended via cable car for a 360 degree view of Rio. I spent Sunday exploring Copacabana and Ipanema…the hippie fair, before enjoying a Samba show late into the evening. Our adventure continued into the magnificent Iguassu Falls where we visited both the Brazilian and Argentine sides. One tip I can give you is plastic ponchos are no protection from the wet. But it was fun getting soaked from the thunderous falls. Our South American adventure was nearing the end but not before spending three days in Buenos Aires where chic shopping is unavoidable. The local services, hotels, meals, and sights, in South America were simply superb! Our tour guides and bus drivers were very personable, skilled, and knowledgeable.

Judy and her team put together an excellent ‘adventure’. I can’t wait for the next one!

Thank you for a great trip to Europe. The organising and places we visited were out of this world. A big thank you for our opportunity to travel with such a nice group.

Dear Judy, Thank you. Two little words used to convey so much. Thank you for taking myself and the other ‘queens’ on the trip of a lifetime. Your devotion to our welfare and the easy manner in which all our travel plans, hotels, sightseeing, cruises etc just seemed to fall into place was phenomenal. I have been singing your praises to all my ‘crafty’ friends and encouraging them to go see the world with GIRLS ON TOUR.

“Have just returned from memorable trip to Greece and Turkey. Turkey was a delightful surprise - beautiful country and people. The places we visited and what we saw and achieved in the time we had was amazing. Testimony to Judy’s skills and knowledge as a tour organiser and guide!! Great trip and great group of women to share it with. I am already planning next trip with Girls On Tour.”
Helen A., Binna Burra, NSW – Turkey and Greece 2012

“A truly wonderful and exciting experience. This Girls On Tour – Egypt and Dubai met and exceeded all expectations. The tour itself was full of history and wonderful opportunities to see the life and living conditions of other countries especially Egypt. The selection of accommodation both quality and location was very good indeed. All aspects of the tour from the pre tour information to the individual personal touches have been thoroughly planned and expertly put together.

As a tour leader Judy’s outgoing personality and expert knowledge and wonderful contacts are indeed an asset to the smooth professional running of the tour. All connections from airport bookings to hotel reservations to the types of side activities were expertly handled. Individual assistance throughout the tour was a highlight. This indeed was a well organised, excellent experience!”
