Hi Judy,

I have been going through the photos and am amazed at the places we saw. Like any trip there were a few glitches but most were ironed out very efficiently by you and the guides. I enjoyed the wet conditions, most of the time. There were only a few places where the rain and cold were a bit hard to take for us softies from Australia. I remember Stonehenge, Clonmacnoise (Ireland) and Mount St Michel (France) as wet and cold, but the locals would put up with more than that – imagine their winters. I found the accommodation in the most part very good, and on the one occasion when we met up with a Fawlty Towers mob, it was sorted out quickly. The only downside of my trip was the usual one – not enough time. We needed at least three months just to do justice to our itinerary. We could have spent at least three days at each place we visited – which means I will have to find the funds to do another trip! There have been a number of SBS shows on recently – Global Village and Classical Destinations – covering some of the places we saw on this trip and my earlier Italy trip with you. These shows are now more interesting being able to recognise some of the areas. Some of my strong memories of this trip include our night out in London to see the Lion King, in Paris at Moulin Rouge, and the Knicker Bocker Glory we tasted in Chester! Also our drive to and stays at Appleby Manor and Dunkeld – being in a country environment was a great contrast to the cities. The Lakes District and our boat trip on Lake Windemere was beautiful, and travelling on the secondary roads was another interesting experience. However, the memories are so many and so varied. I can’t think of a place I would have left out. It was the most wonderful trip. Thank you for all your hard work putting it together and then keeping it together for 32+ days. My two extra days in Paris to visit Giverny and Palace of Versailles and then Jardin de Luxembourg and the Pantheon were also wonderful. I could happily have stayed in Paris for another week – also London, Edinburgh, York, Dublin ...

Having recently returned from the above tour I cannot stress how good the tour was. This was an expensive tour but as they say - you get what you pay for - and we got heaps . The hotels where we had extended stops were all in central locations - often only a few minutes walk to the town centre - and were all of an excellent standard . The tours were exclusively for us and were exhaustive ( and occasionally exhausting ) covering all aspects .The meals included were delicious and plentiful and served in some interesting restaurants .Most importantly , Judy and our Italian guide Alessandra worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone enjoyed themselves and enjoyed the trip - it was as if Alessandra was a friend showing us around her country and not a tour guide .I would not hesitate to recommend Girls on Tour to all and will hopefully be travelling with Judy again.

“Well Judy you have done it again! A truly memorable experience. The trip was well planned (aided by the slick Canadian tourist flagship), the company great and the weather perfect, giving us both snow and beautiful days of sunshine. Canada and Alaska are remarkable in their beauty, with a picture perfect postcard view around every corner. We were fortunate in seeing plenty of wildlife and given the opportunity to view it in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere.

Thank you for giving people like myself the opportunity to travel in such safe, friendly and cost effective circumstances.”

Words don't really cover it Judy. Thank you again for a well organised marvellous escorted tour of Turkey and Greece. So many pleasant surprises and of course great weather, great company, great time. Most of our friendly group were repeat travellers with Girls on Tour. Together with the information kits before, ongoing after and personal DVD all wrap it up so nicely. The best. Happy Days.

Dear Judy,
Would just like to take this opportunity of thanking you for a wonderful holiday to Europe. This was my first time traveling alone oversees so I was a little nervous, after meeting you and the rest of the girls in Dubai I felt very comfortable and secure. As a quiet observer I could see your effort in making each and all get the very most out of their holiday . As your room mate on the ship I found you to be very considerate and we took time to have a few laughs together. I hope to travel again with you one day and would be very happy to recommend you to any person traveling alone.

Once again thank you for making my holiday one I will remember for ever,

Egypt and Jordan 2010 was a great travel experience. Firstly, the whole trip was extremely well organised, both before and during the tour. Before the tour, questions were responded to promptly and plenty of pre-tour information was provided. During the tour everything went smoothly, with any small hiccups effectively dealt with. Individual needs were catered for and the local tour companies, especially in Egypt, provided excellent service.

Our tour escort, Judy, was friendly, considerate and professional. Her thoughtful planning of the itinerary provided a variety of experiences as well as time to relax. Nothing was too much trouble and her enthusiasm for Egypt and knowledge of the country and its customs and antiquities certainly enhanced our experience.

My fellow travellers were a small group of friendly, caring people who played a major role in making the trip enjoyable. Everyone had a very flexible approach and was keen to experience as much as possible of the two countries and their cultures (not to mention the shopping).

The Egyptian tour guide was excellent - well organised, friendly, obliging and very knowledgeable. Hossam showed us his Egypt, contemporary as well as ancient, with enthusiasm and personal stories. He provided an insight into Islam, introduced us to local people, places and foods, answered all our questions and shared much laughter with us.

For me, the highlight in Jordan was visiting Petra, something I had long wanted to do. Again, the local tour company was well organised and we saw amazing things and learnt much about Jordan, both ancient and modern. The elections held while we were there, and the ongoing victory celebrations of successful candidates, added an interesting dimension to the trip.

Overall, the trip more than met my expectations. We had plenty of time to fully experience the places we visited and the guides were happy to answer our questions whether they were about antiquities or contemporary issues. Importantly in the chaotic traffic in both Egypt and Jordan, our drivers were very safe and good humoured.

Having previously travelled both independently and on organised tours, for me Girls on Tour provided the best of both worlds. Thank you Judy and fellow travellers for a wonderful experience and I look forward to travelling with you again.
