DAY 1: Friday 1 June - DEPART AUSTRALIA, flying Emirates via Dubai.

DAY 2:   2 Jun - ARRIVE ZAGREB, CROATIA - 3 nights
Arrive Zagreb and welcome to Croatia, the start of your Treasures of the Balkans Tour.  You will be met by your local Tour Guide for the duration of your tour and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel.  (D)

DAY 3:   3 Jun - ZAGREB
This morning enjoy a tour and discover the charming old city of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Visit St- Marc Church, with its coloured roof, the University of Zagreb, created in 1696, the Croatian National Theatre, and Cathedral. This afternoon is at leisure.  (B)

DAY 4:   4 Jun - ZAGREB
A free day today to explore the capital of Croatia.  (B)

DAY 5:  5 Jun - LAKE BLED, SLOVENIA - 2 nights
Today depart for stunning Lake Bled in Slovenia.  Visit Bled Castle and enjoy a boat ride on a traditional pletna (a hand-propelled gondola) cruise to the only Slovenian island where there is a church with its famous tolling “bell of wishes”.  Remainder of today is at leisure for walking, shopping or just relaxing in this beautiful town. (B)

Today you have an opportunity to visit Slovenia's largest natural lake, to see the source of the river Sava Bohinjka, the Savica waterfall or to enjoy a bird's eye view of Lake Bohinj from Mt.Vogel.   A short journey through the Bohinj Valley will take you to part of the valley called Ukanc. From here you can either make a short climb to be rewarded with an impressive view of the 78m waterfall (optional), or take a cable car (optional) to Mt.Vogel where you have the impression that you can almost touch the peaks of Julian Alps. Also enjoy a boat ride across the lake to the other end – Ribčev Laz, where you will have time for lunch. The journey back will take you through the villages of the Upper Bohinj Valley and to your hotel where you will also have dinner tonight. DAY 7:  7 Jun - OPATIJA, CROATIA - 2 nights
After a pleasant drive you will arrive at the small town of Postojna, where you can see one of the best known and most beautiful caves in Europe.  The caves are 22 km long, and an electric train will take us through a part of it, after which we shall walk for about two kilometres through the most stunning part of the caves. The sightseeing tour takes about 90 minutes, and there will be time left for lunch and buying souvenirs. Continue to Opatija and check in at your hotel.  (B)

DAY 8:  8 Jun - OPATIJA
Today visit Pula’s famous historical attractions and other picturesque sites of Pula.  The Croatian city of Pula is located in close proximity to Medulin. Pula is renowned for its classical well-preserved Roman ruins including the Small Roman Theatre, Temple of Augustus, the Triumphal Arch of Sergi and the Vespasian Amphitheatre. Return to Opatija and enjoy some leisure time.  Dinner tonight is at your hotel. (B, D)

DAY 9:  9 Jun - ZADAR / PINJA -  1 night
Depart for Plitvice Lakes National Park on UNESCO´s List of World Natural Heritage. Surrounded by dense woods, Plitvice lakes are a natural phenomenon of rare and unique beauty.  You will have a sightseeing tour, with a local English speaking guide, of the sixteen lakes. Each of the different lakes are joined by a series of cascading waterfalls.  Continue to Zadar located near the lake. (B, L)

DAY 10:  10 Jun - TROGIR - 5 nights
Today enjoy a sightseeing tour of Zadar’s cultural monuments with a local English speaking guide. From here depart for Sibenik travelling through charming fishing villages and sun drenched Adriatic resorts. Free time in Sibenik before travelling on to our hotel in Trogir. (B)

DAY 11: 11 Jun - TROGIR
After a pleasant drive to Krka National Park, embark on a cruise at Skradinski Buk for a tour of Visovac Island and its Franciscan monastery. Continue the tour by boat to Roški Slap waterfalls. Due to its location and various types of habitats, Krka River has an exceptional wealth of flora and fauna. Lunch at a local restaurant.  The tour also includes sightseeing of old water mills, indicating the historical and cultural background of the local people. Continue on to Trogir.  (B, L, D)

DAY 12: 12 Jun - TROGIR
This morning enjoy an in-depth sightseeing tour of Trogir, a gracious city located by the sea. You will have time at leisure for walking or shopping after the tour, before returning to your hotel.  Today at 5.00pm you will get to sharpen your culinary skills with a cooking class and then enjoy your efforts, a 3 course dinner with a glass of wine or two. DAY 13: 13 Jun - TROGIR
Free Day to rest, shop and explore this harbour side treasure.  (B)

Depart from Trogir for the beautiful Dalmatian city of Split where you will have a tour with a local representative. Highlights include ruins from the original palace, a colonnaded square and the Temple of Jupiter. See the famous Diokletian Palace (UNESCO heritage-listed), a unique monument of Roman architecture from the 3rd century.  Late afternoon return to your hotel in Trogir. (B)

DAY 15: 15 Jun - NEUM, CROATIA - 2 nights
After breakfast today depart for Mostar old city & Pocitelj in Bosnia and Herzegovina.  Visit Mostar which, at the time of the Turkish Empire, had a great influence on the level of trade. With the passing years, several cultures and religions have left their traces through the history of this city.  You will discover the old Bazaar, the old Turkish city and museum, and a mosque as well as the Museum of Bosnia. Take time to admire the Bridge of Mostar, symbol of the city. Time at leisure before continuing to Neum on the shores of the Adriatic Sea.  (B,D)

DAY 16: 16 Jun - KORCULA
Today transfer to where you will board your boat to the Island of Korcula. The City of Korcula is one of the most beautiful medieval cities on the Adriatic and it is considered to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo.  On your tour you will see the cultural and historical monuments of the island.  Continue to Ston. The Peljesac Peninsula is the most famous region for the production of high quality red wines made from the Zinfandel grapes. Enjoy tasting the wine and local product (smoked ham and cheese) at family Matusko.  Continue sightseeing of Ston which was the first planned urban city in Europe.  Visitors are attracted by the 5km stone walls protecting Ston. Late afternoon,return to your hotel. (B)

DAY 17: 17 Jun - DUBROVNIK - 5 nights
After breakfast we drive a short distance to the ancient town of Dubrovnik where we’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour with a local guide.  Dubrovnik is on UNESCO´s List of World Cultural Heritage. This ancient town, surrounded by ramparts and fortresses, is a treasure trove of architectural and cultural masterpieces, scrupulously preserved over the centuries.  A pleasant walk will take you to the Rector’s Place, the Franciscan Monastery with its 14th century Pharmacy, the Cathedral, and to other places of interest. Some free time in the afternoon to explore.  Transfer back to the hotel. (B)
A full day tour to the Mljet National Park where you will have a lovely sightseeing tour of the Park.  You will see the island of Mljet, one of the loveliest and most densely wooded islands in the Adriatic, part of the island has been declared a national park.  Two of the main attractions are two salt-water lakes, Veliko jezero and Malo jezero (great lake and small lake). See the cultural and historical monuments of the island.  You will take a boat trip to the islet in the Great Lake for a visit to the 12th century Benedictine Monastery. Late afternoon return to Dubrovnik.  (B)

Depart for Kotor, Montenegro. Upon arrival in Kotor, you will have a sightseeing tour visiting the Maritime museum and famous St. Tripun Cathedral.  Depart for Budva for a sightseeing tour of the cultural and historical monuments of the old city.  You will have a panoramic tour of Island St Stefan. Time at leisure in Budva old city before returning to your hotel in Dubrovnik. Tonight transfer by coach for dinner with musical entertainment in a Dubrovnik old city restaurant.  (B, D)

DAY 20:  20 Jun - DUBROVNIK
Following the coast for more than 30 km, the Elaphite Islands are an archipelago of islands. Enjoy a boat cruise around Elephite Island.  This afternoon is at leisure for swimming or sightseeing.  (B)

DAY 21: 21 Jun - DUBROVNIK
Today is at leisure for walking, swimming, sightseeing, shopping or whatever you feel like doing. You might like to take the Dubrovnik cable car to the top of Srdj Hill for spectacular views of the Old Town and the Adriatic or walk the ancient city walls for a birds eye view of the city.  This evening enjoy a farewell dinner with music and entertainment to mark the last days of this memorable tour of the Balkans with Girls on Tour. DAY 22: 22 Jun - DUBROVNIK TO ZAGREB - 1 night
Transfer to the airport for our flight to Zagreb where we’ll overnight before our flight home to Australia.  (B)
