Having done several tours to Italy before, we’ve made this itinerary even better by adding extra days in Rome and a Tuscan Villa stay to allow you to totally indulge yourself in the history, culture, art, architecture, fashion, culinary delights and all things Italian. With only 8 hotels in 31 days, this tour is jam packed but well-paced.
We will have 6 nights in Rome, 4 nights in Sorrento on the spectacular Amalfi Coast, 4 nights in Radda in Chianti in Tuscany from where we’ll journey out to the villages of San Gimignano, Siena, Pisa and the quaint walled city of Lucca, 4 nights in Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance, 2 nights in La Spezia where we’ll visit Cinque Terre, 2 nights in Milan and 1 night in Lake Como and finishing off with 4 nights in magical Venice.

Arrive in Rome and transfer to hotel to begin your Italian Immersion starting with 6 nights in ‘The Eternal City’ and capital of Italy. Over the coming days you will immerse yourself in the history, landscape and culinary delights of Italy.
Set off to explore Rome on a half day tour including the Spanish Steps, The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and much more. Dinner tonight at a local restaurant. (B, D)
Today we visit the magnificent Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill on our half day tour. The rest of day is free to explore. (B)
This morning you will enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica. The afternoon is yours to explore further or relax and enjoy the ambiance of Rome. (B, D)
Today is yours to explore Rome or venture further out of the city if you so desire. Your tour escort and local tour manager will be on hand to offer suggestions and assist you. (B)
Enjoy a day at leisure for any last minute sightseeing or shopping! Rome is a city best explored on foot so take the day to explore and find out more about this ancient and bustling city. (B)
Drive south to the beautiful World Heritage Amalfi Coast and Sorrento visiting the famous Roman city of Pompeii which was destroyed in 79AD by the Volcano of Vesuvius on the way. Dinner at hotel. (B, D)
Full day Isle of Capri tour (including a visit to Grotte Blu or Blue Grotto weather permitting) and Villa San Michele. (B, L)

This morning we depart Sorrento and drive to the hilltop town of Orvieto with free time for lunch and to explore the beautiful architecture and cobbled streets of this charming place. Continue on to Tuscany for late afternoon check in at our villa where we will enjoy a 3 course dinner on arrival. (B, D)
Our Tuscan adventure begins with a full day excursion to Siena and San Gimignano including a guided tour of Siena with a visit to the 13th Century Duomo (Cathedral). Immerse yourself in the unique and ancient customs of Siena with its famous Il Palio horse race held twice a year and the 17 colourful and proud Contrade that make up this UNESCO World Heritage listed city. We will continue on to the enchanting walled medieval hill town of San Gimignano where you will have time to wander and explore after a short introduction by your tour manager. A 3 course dinner awaits you at your villa on your return after a wonderful day of exploration in Toscana. (B, D)
Today is yours to wander and explore the medieval town of Radda enclosed in its impressive defensive walls dating back to the 9th century. In the afternoon it’s time to don your apron and take part in a cooking class in the medieval kitchen of Palazzo Leopoldo and later enjoy
the fruits or your labour. (B, D)
Another day to explore the narrow streets and tower buildings of this picturesque medieval town. Dinner tonight will be a local restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. (B,D)
We farewell Radda and make our way towards Florence for the next part of our Italian adventure. (B)

Today is yours to explore beautiful Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. Some of the major museums are closed on Mondays but many are still open for you to visit. A stroll along the River Arno or some retail therapy? The choices are endless and are all yours. (B)
Another magical day in Florence for you to further immerse yourself in the culture, history and beauty of Italy. You might visit The Uffuzi Gallery or the private residence of the Medici’s The Pitti Palace or marvel at Michelangelo’s David during a visit to The Accademia Museum. (B)
We farewell Florence and make our way through the countryside towards the coastal town of La Spezia stopping first in Pisa to visit the famous leaning Bell Tower before continuing on to the walled city of Lucca and enjoy free time for lunch. Dinner at a local restaurant tonight. (B, D)
Full day drive and tour to the beautiful World Heritage site of Cinque Terre. The area comprises of 5 coastal villages between Genoa and La Spezia on the NW coast of Italy and is a popular ‘bucket list’ destination. (B, L)
We travel by coach today to Lake Como via the town of Parma with its magnificent Cathedral and Baptistry and small town vibe. The afternoon is yours to explore the shores of Lecco on Lake Como. (B)
Travel to Bellagio and enjoy some free time before taking a boat ride to Como. After a lovely lunch in the area we will continue on to Milan. (B, L, D)
Morning guided tour of the city including La Scala Theatre, the Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuale II and a visit to Leonardo da Vinci’s "Last Supper"** housed at Santa Maria delle Grazie Church.

Depart Milan this morning for Venice stopping along the way to explore the medieval town of Verona famous for Juliette’s balcony and home to one of the most well preserved Roman Arenas dating back to the 1st Century. After free time to explore Verona we continue on to our last and most intriguing stay, Venice. Here you will have time to wander, explore and absorb all the history, beauty and wonder of not only Venice but all things Italian. On arrival at Venice Tronchetto, we meet our local representative and transfer to our hotel to begin the next part of our adventure. (B)
This morning enjoy a walking tour of Venice through the narrow streets and over stunning bridges to explore Piazza San Marco, The Basilica and entrance into Doges Palace. You will work up an appetite after that and so will enjoy a delicious lunch before having the rest of the afternoon free to explore further. (B, L)
Private visit to the islands of Murano and Burano with time to explore before returning to Venice. (B)
Today is yours to explore the incredible labyrinth of narrow streets and canals of this fascinating city. Tonight we will say ‘arrivederci Italia’ as we come together for our farewell dinner at a local restaurant to share our stories and relive the wonderful experiences shared. (B, D)
