Today we meet our tour guides. After a 6.30am pick up we depart Broome. Our coach travels along Highway One and across the mighty Fitzroy River for morning tea at Willare Bridge Roadhouse. Next stop is the famous Prison Boab tree at the start of the Gibb River Road near Derby. We continue on to explore Tunnel Creek and experience a 750 metre cave walk through the ancient Devonian reef system. (Have your reef/water shoes in your day pack). As the sun sets and touches the sides of Windjana Gorge an amazing photo opportunity is yours for the click. Relax and enjoy your first night under canvas at the well-equipped campsite. (Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Dinner)
It’s an early morning start to explore Windjana Gorge. Your tour then follows ‘The Gibb’ crossing rugged King Leopold Range and heading into ‘cattle country’. After a healthy lunch, the walk into breathtaking Bell Gorge and a refreshing swim will amaze you! Enjoy a relaxing evening at the Silent Grove campsite. (B,MT,L,D)
The morning is a charming trip and a pleasant stroll into the picturesque Galvan’s Gorge. After a delicious lunch your tour settles at Mt Barnett where you camp for the night next to the tranquil pools of the lower Manning. The afternoon is a walk into Manning Gorge where you can admire ancient Aboriginal rock art and swim in clear pools near the falls. (B,MT,L,D)
Your tour continues east along Gibb River Road arriving at Home Valley Station on the banks of the Pentecost River. Home Valley Station is a beautiful ‘oasis’ in the middle of the harsh outback environment. Put your head down and sleep soundly after another exceptional day in this beautiful part of the world. (B,MT,L,D)
Continue the adventure as we make our way down Gibb River Road to famous El Questro Station. After crossing the Pentecost River and exploring the gorges, a relaxing evening of laughter and shared experiences rounds out another perfect day on your ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’! (B,MT,L,D)
Today you have an extra special opportunity to take an optional scenic flight over the magnificent Mitchell Falls and Kimberley countryside. Alternatively enjoy the spectacular natural gorges and walks around El Questro Station. (B,MT,L,D)
We start the day at Zebedee Hot Springs where you can soak your traveller body in warm, crystal clear water beneath tropical palms. Today we explore the unspoilt territory of Emma Gorge for a swim in natural rock-pools or an exhilaratingly refreshing swim in the alluring waterfall. It’s our last day on the Gibb River Road before arriving in Kununurra for the evening. (B,MT,L,D)
Relax or explore Kununurra and its abundance of natural wonders. Canoeing, fishing, swimming in the pool or perhaps an optional scenic flight or fabulous Ord River Cruise. This ‘free’ day is blissfully yours to enjoy the East Kimberley. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Back on the road and we’re ready to explore the world famous Bungle Bungles. As part of our journey we may visit Ivanhoe Crossing and local galleries to view the creative artwork of local indigenous artists. You may also want to take an optional scenic helicopter flight to experience the magic of the Bungle Bungles from the air. (B,MT,L,D)
The track into Purnululu National Park is four wheel drive only. Our slow but scenic trip is the perfect approach to the wonder of the Bungle Bungles. The Domes Walk, Picinniny Creek, Cathedral Gorge and Echidna Chasm are on the ‘list’. We are in the midst of the Bungle Bungles and there is almost too much to see and do. (B,MT,L,D)
Our journey today leads us through some of the most scenic areas of the Kimberley with plenty of opportunities for photos that will make family and friends very jealous indeed! The tour continues to China Wall at Halls Creek on our way to Fitzroy Crossing where your camp awaits you at an exclusive campsite on a working cattle station. Enjoy your final night under the clear outback sky. (B,MT,L,D)
The perfect start to our last day is a river cruise exploring the Geike Gorge, just outside Fitzroy Crossing. Our final destination is lovely, tropical Broome where sadly we all say goodbye to our hosts Corf and Adey.
