Welcome to Girls On Tour!
Well here we are in 2012, an Olympic Year and Girls On Tour is ready for another wonderful year of amazing destinations including the Olympic city, London in November. In 2011 we added some new places to our touring itineraries and 2012 is no exception. For the first time in 2011, Girls On Tour travelled to the diverse countries of South America including Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina and Brazil. We included all the major icons such as Machu Picchu, Christ the Redeemer, The Amazon, the Iguassu Falls and so much more. Find out all about this exciting and colourful tour on our past tours page.
Earlier in the year we repeated our 2008 Vietnam trip with the addition of Cambodia with a small group of ladies and this was a wonderful experience. Although they share a border, these two countries are very different culturally, politically and geographically. Both countries have now shared many years of relative peace and prosperity after decades of war and destruction and the people you meet there are happy and deserve their happiness. Find out more on our past tours page.
May saw a return to Canada and Alaska for a wonderful 20 day tour throughout the Rocky Mountains and Alberta before a 7 night cruise through majestic Alaska. The scenery in both Canada and Alaska is breathtaking and the history surrounding the Klondike Gold Rush and its impact on both Canada and Alaska is fascinating. Our small group enjoyed a 2 day trip on-board the Rocky Mountaineer, one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys and it was spectacular. Check out our past tours page to read more about this beautiful trip.
In July our group of 10 set off for a 25 day tour through magnificent Europe which included a 15 day river cruise on-board MS Imagery. This was a first for Girls On Tour and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Flying into Paris we enjoyed the sights and sounds of the city of love before travelling by train to Amsterdam to join our cruiser. Our journey took us along the Danube, the Rhine and the Main Rivers through the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary passing castles and vineyards and visiting historic sites and towns along the way to Budapest. From here we continued by road to the Czech Republic visiting Cesky Krumlov, Karlovy Vary and the capital Prague. An absolutely beautiful trip. Read more on our past tours page.
Our final tour for 2011 was our beautiful “Experience France” tour. 30 days of beautiful blue skies, lovely hotels, wonderful food, magnificent scenery and friendly smiles, oh and did I mention the food and the wine? Starting out in Paris for 3 nights we went on to have stays in the regions of Normandy, Loire Valley, Dordogne, Rhone Alpes, Burgundy, Côte d’Azur and finishing in beautiful Provence in a restored farmhouse with exclusive use for a whole week. This wonderful tour took in the beautiful gardens and chateaus of the Loire Valley as well as the ancient cave paintings in Lascaux. We visited the magnificent Mont St Michel in Normandy in the far north-west and travelled right down to the south of France to the wetlands of the Camargue renown for the breeding of the black bulls for bullfighting. It is highly likely that this trip will be repeated in 2013 so to find out more about our 2011 experience check out our past tours page.

In Spain we will enjoy stays in Barcelona, Valencia, Granada, Seville and Madrid. Featured Testimonial
My recent trip to Italy with ‘Girls on Tour’ was absolutely fantastic – a holiday of a lifetime – extraordinary, memorable, with many ‘OMG how wonderful’ moments, and extremely well organised.
Anything worth seeing - we saw; anything worth doing – we did; anything we mentioned to Judy was considered and usually organised with the group.
